Originating from San Francisco, Ramen Kagawa has become the hot new ramen spot in downtown, Phoenix.
Shunji, one of the owners, explains that what makes Ramen Kagawa special is that it serves authentic ramen from Japan. He and two of the other owners used to work at a Ramen place in San Francisco when they had the idea to bring this delicious food to Arizona.
Their most popular dish (shown above) is the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen. This dish contains whole meat and bones that have been cooked for hours upon hours. It also has broth that contains chashu, egg and cabbage. It also paired well with their Yuzu Lager beer from Hitachino Nest Beer Company.
The second most popular dish is their Classic Patan Ramen (shown above). This bowl has a creamy chicken broth that contains chicken thighs, cabbage, ginger, green onion and seaweed. This can be paired with their Unsweetened Green Tea.
The restaurant carries 6 different beers that are all from Hitachino Nest Beer Company, with their most popular being the White Ale. They also serve curry, rice bowls, and appetizers.
