Hand flapping may be one of the most well-known & talked about “stims” when it comes to children so parents who see their child flap their hands may grow concerned..

The truth is that hand flapping is a fairly common behavior in toddlers. It can be seen to especially occur when they get excited, anxious or even upset. In typically developing children it is a result of having a large overflow of emotion that has to be expressed and when they don’t know what to do with all that emotion it can come out as a body movement such as hand flapping. Most toddlers will outgrow this by their 2nd or 3rd birthday as they become better at controlling unexpected emotions..

Colados donated a $25 gift card that was gifted to one of our patients & their family.

Colados Coffee & Crepes is a wonderful spot all about crepes, coffee and family. This family owned company was inspired by a trip taken to Paris where crepes were tasted by the owners for the first time and never forgotten. From that point on they worked in their own garage and learned how to make their own crepes where Colados was born. They have a variety of menu items such as their BLT, Chipotle, Nutella, Peach and Tropical crepes along with some great coffee to pair them with.
