Get Fresh Fruit, Bread and Pasta At The Uptown Farmers Market Every Weekend

If you love fresh food and sunshine, Uptown Farmers Market is definitely an event you want to stop by this weekend.

The market is a food-based farmers market and gathering place dedicated to inspiring and educating home cooks through Arizona local produce, handmade foods and handcrafted goods. Not only do they sell delicious fresh food but they have cooking demonstrations, food trucks, picnic areas to safely social distance and eat and drink vendors. The market is free to attend and open every Wednesday 8a.m.-1 p.m. and Saturday 9a.m.-12 p.m. It is located off Bethany Home and Central Avenue.

Some of the vendors that will be present include Proof Bread, Chiricahua Meats, Amadio Ranch, Eli’s French Bakery, Udder Delights and Pasta Rea. These are just a few of the vendors at the market but they all serve a variety of food products to meet your specific tastes.

Proof Bread is a renegade micro-bakery in Mesa, AZ. They specialize in naturally leavened, local, and freshly-milled sourdough breads and pastries. Their signature sourdough bread was voted in the Top 5 loaves of Phoenix!

Chiricahua Meats sell grass-fed beef and lamb. There they strive for meat that is mild, sweetly flavored and tender. All meat is processed at Guzman’s Meat Processing, a USDA inspected facility approximately 12 miles from the farm and is a family owned business.

Amadio Ranch is a heritage farming venture in Laveen, AZ on the outskirts of Phoenix. They produce fruit like peaches, apricots, plums, apples, pears, figs, grapes that are available in the state.

Eli’s French Bakery LLC is a family owned and operated bakery. They have over 35 years of experience baking and crafting the most delicious French cookies and pastries.  Year after year, their famous Coconut Macaroon has been their number one seller.

Udder Delights is a dessert spot in Gilbert. The specialize in homemade ice cream, cookies, brownies, pastries & ice cream cakes.

Chef Tony Rea brings fresh pasta, sauces and prepared hot plates to market. Chef Rea has over 38 years of experience in the Culinary Arts field, including Executive Chef for the Boulders Resort and Country club, and Chef Instructor at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Pasta Rea currently sells rigatoni, conchiglie, campanelle, tagliatelle, and linguine. They also offer fresh sauces such as marinara, basil pesto, Bolognese, vodka, and famous Sunday Gravy.
