4 Fun And Safe Activities To Do For Halloween This Year

 October 30, 2020

Halloween can be somewhat difficult this year with Coronavirus but it doesn’t mean you have to cancel it!

Here are four safe and fun alternatives to celebrating halloween this year!

1. Have a (6 feet apart) neighborhood costume parade

Throw a parade of Halloween costumes safely in your local neighborhood, in a park or even a schoolyard! Have the kids show their costumes from a safe distance and it’s even better if they Halloween masks.

2. Host a backyard Halloween movie night

If it’s not too cold outside, why not buy a projector and host a movie night in the backyard! All you have to do is purchase a projector, hang a white sheet and show a family friendly Halloween movie. HBO Max, Netflix and even Amazon Prime have a ton of Halloween movies right now. An alternative to doing a DIY one is going to a nearby drive-in.

3. Bake some Halloween themed delicious dishes!

Cooking at home is always safe and a fun thing to do with the whole family! You can bake a cake, cook some scary dinner dishes or even appetizers. There will definitely a mess but it guarantee a lot of laughter and finger licking. You can have the family join via zoom or live video.

4. Throw a haunted scavenger hunt

This can be done safely outdoors with a small group (masks worn) or even around the house with your family. There are tons of resources online that you can print out for scavenger hunts like on Caravan Shoppe. Pinterest is also a great resource for scavenger hunt ideas.
